Turn off any shortcut that clashes with your system (for example Chromebook shelf keys). On a Mac, Ctrl means Cmd.
Merge Shapes turns two or more overlapping shapes into new shapes, like PowerPoint's feature of the same name.
- Draw two or more shapes so that they overlap.
- Pick them: click the first one, then Shift+click the others (or drag a box around them).
- Choose one of the five buttons under Merge Shapes in the Inspector.
The order you pick them in matters: the first shape you pick gives the result its colours, and Subtract keeps the first shape and cuts the others out of it. (Fragment is the exception: each piece keeps the colour it already had.) Little numbers on the canvas and in the Layers list show the order.
Merging works on filled shapes: rectangles, ellipses, polygons, stars, pen shapes and earlier merges. Lines, text and groups are left out (ungroup a group first).
VCTREDTR is a vector drawing app. Draw shapes, paths and text, then merge shapes the way PowerPoint does: Union, Combine, Fragment, Intersect and Subtract.
Private by design. Your drawings never leave this device. There are no uploads, accounts or analytics, and the page's security policy blocks it from sending data anywhere.
The only outside code is the drawing engine, Paper.js 0.12.18 by Jürg Lehni and Jonathan Puckey (MIT licence). It is downloaded from jsDelivr, checked against a fixed fingerprint, then kept for offline use.
Projects. Save project keeps everything editable in a .vctredtr file. Export makes a PNG picture or an SVG file for other apps.
